"KIDDO"

hello trish, kiddo here..

thanks for the comment (more like of a scolding..). at least i know, i reach people. read slowly and please try to understand what i'm saying.. it's possible you missed some points.

yes, i don't have a job yet and i am happy that in this time that i wouldn't have to worry about "bills to pay and mouths to feed, and ... taxes to remit involuntarily" i got to realize and see what our society is and where it is leading us. i am looking at the bigger picture, Girlie. and for you to see that as well, i really had to make that blog entry.

forgive me for not pointing out that the masses, always mentioned, are merely not the jobless ones, for the unemployed is but only a subset of the masses. greater concern for me are those not in the metropolitan area. so, those that you saw along some highway are not the mere ones i was talking about being really oppressed. i clearly mentioned those who receive P9.50 as their weekly salary. now, are they jobless?? these are the masses most oppressed. that's where the analogy of working atmosphere comes in. i didn't say that these airconditioned rooms are equal to unstressful jobs! what im saying is, at least, we can experience these comforts to at least ease our stresses and pains while they working hard on fields just have a cup of lukewarm water to "cool" them off. the main thing is, we, the middle-class, are not at the lowest of the lows! so we musn't act as if we are the ones oppressed most..

those you saw by the highway, would gain also my sympathy. these are the masses whose habits pose unhealthy for you as well as them being unemployed are brought about by their lack of right to education which corrupted them from infancy. again, we made the mistake of just applying our thought to those that our eyes merely see. yes, they are the jobless ones but this was merely brought out by lack of opportunity even when they were still kids. i am not looking down on public school children, but look at the way some are educated. would you see one of them as your bosses one day? it is because how and what they are taught now are just securing them to have the same life their father used to have. the right to proper education was denied from them, and luckily you are not one of them. yes, they are not working, unlike you, but this ugly situation is where their corrupted education disposed them. they are oppressed more than you think you are..

fine, go get a job requiring no educational background, but what self-improvement can one get from such? unlike you, that aside from you getting to "compute for claims and losses of a certain insurance company, and the errors of which could mean bankrupcy to the company or a huge penalty in taxes for errors in computation", you can check out and see some other's blog entry?

yes, nobody needs to tell anyone their is something wrong in the country today, but only a few heeds to the call. what good is it that one knows yet acts nothing about it? it's like having sympathy for a guy lying dead on the floor and yet not calling anyone for help. those at the streets, also having mouths to feed, forgot a day's pay just to prove support that there is a need for change in the country and they are willing to leave a day's pay for that! unlike some who wouldn't! now, define selfish.

you mentioned these rallyists not doing anything to uplift their lives. well, they are! actually, uplifting the future lives of their countrymen. they don't only show support but they also do legal matters, by petitions and lobbying efforts. only, they are not heard. and what other venue can one express their voices in this "democratic" country than on the streets. yes, it is human to dislike them. but if you would understand them, which i believe you are not willing to do, i guess it is also human that you would join them. you hate them because they make you walk, and they make you late for work. but guess what, the right for a better government and a better living standard that YOU should be pushing through, THEY DO. they do these, not for themselves, but even for those who hated them just because they were late for their job for the day. what "share of uplifting the country" could one do by just minding your own business and not trying to break the cycle of indifference and national disunity?

what i am telling people is the greater picture - the long and destructive cycle of what the society has since long before. and what we must do is to break this cycle! how? by making people understand where we are right now and where we are going. setting up barriers per class will never bring national unity. and thinking highly of one's class is definitely not an element of peace.

yes, what we all want is "katahimikan at kaayusan". but these don't grow overnight and with our backs lying down. by simply not looking at ourselves and trying to understand what shit the NATION is in right now, as it always has been, we've already made Step 1. we are not enemies, and we never should be. we fight for the same good but some people are just willing and vocal. to them, who have time and guts, we should give support. and if joining them and promoting them is way too much, a little pag-intindi and pag-unawa is good enough. the country is in great trouble now, might as well we, it's people mustn't be one of its troubles now.

oh, and by the way, it's not EFFECIENT, its EFFICIENT.. hehe
